In Honour of Mr Prakash Sinha
It is with great sorrow that the Trustees of SELBCT heard of the passing of Mr Prakash Sinha. He was the ‘Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon’ at The Chartwell Unit in The PRUH, he will be greatly missed by us all. In his honour, a few trustees have written tributes:-

Prakash was a registrar in the unit when I joined as a Consultant in 1999. Later on I appointed him as a colleague in the breast unit. He worked hard and was a well respected surgeon. Staff and patients loved him. We will all miss him and his absence will be felt for many years. God help his family through this tragic turn of events.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr Sinha a number of times. He was always very welcoming and a pleasure to work with. A lovely man.
He contributed greatly to delivering key projects for our charity that will have a huge impact on the quality of patient care.
He will be a great loss to so many in the local community and my deepest sympathies go out to all his friends and family.

It was a privilege to know Mr Sinha as a patient and also in my charity role. He was a kind and caring man who wanted the best for us all. It makes the last six months all the more special as our charity had been offering to buy equipment for the Chartwell Breast Unit for some time and he made it happen.
He will be greatly missed and I send my heartfelt sympathy to his family, friends and colleagues.

The first time I met Mr Sinha he attended the charity classical concert in support of funding a Lymph node analyser for the Pruh at the beginning of our fundraising journey as a charity.
A few years later I was supporting a patient as a buddy through her initial meetings and surgery. I saw first hand how Mr Sinha was kind, supportive and cared so much about his patients. He praised our charity work at the time. A year later he looked after my sister who became very unwell while recovering from a double mastectomy. A great surgeon who really did save lives.
Mr Sinah was very supportive of our charity work and helped us get new diagnostic equipment into the Pruh the most recent project being a Vacuum Biopsy Machine and 2 Scout machines.

I was very saddened to hear the news about Prakash, I met him a few times and he came across as a very gentle person and a loving family man. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this sad time.
