The sun was shining on the morning of Monday 12^th May when 84 Golfers  arrived at Woodlands Manor Golf Course to play in the charity match.  They started the day with a full English breakfast before making their way out onto the golf course for the ‘shot gun start’. It was a great day and they started to arrive back in the club house from about 5pm. The results which were put on a screen in the club house showed the lead changing many times. The results were as follows:-

Stapleford Team:- Tony Ide, John Fuller, Colin Rice, Danny Mahony.

1^st Individual Stapleford:- Cyrus Biggs

2^nd Individual Stapleford:- Malcolm Rogers

3^rd Individual Stapleford:- Chris Clegg

Longest Drive Man:- Chris Clegg

Longest Drive Lady:- Mary whittaker

Nearest the Pin:- Steve Allport

Best Lady:- Paulette Murray

This was then followed by an evening meal with an extra  11 guests, a raffle and an auction. A great time was had by all and a tremendous sum of money was raised (£3100). Very many thanks to Ken Thornton and Phil Womack for putting on a momentous day.
