On Thursday 13th October 2011, Survivors of Breast Cancer and a Breast Care Nurse took part in a fashion show at The Glades Shopping Centre, Bromley, Kent. There were two shows, one at 1pm and the other at 6:30pm. Many local residents, family and friends came along to support the event.
As well as the fashion show, customers at The Glades bought roses for the ‘Bra of Inspiration’ and also donated money towards the sponsored exercise bike ride which staff from The Glades Management Centre had been participating in.
We would like to take this opportunity of thanking The Glades for supporting our campaign for the last eighteen months. In this time they had raised just over £28,000 and it looked like they will meet their target of £30,000 by the end of November. The Glades raised enough money to fund the running of the analyser for two years. It is expected that no additional money will be required after this time.
The Analyser has been up and running since February 2011 and is already making a life saving difference to patients in and around the London Borough of Bromley. All trustees of SELBCT work to raise funds to support improvements to services and support for patients, they all work as volunteers. No one is employed to run this charity.
We thank you for your support.
